Voice replies: Eva answers WhatsApp voice notes with a voice note

Voice replies are an Eva feature that answers a customer's WhatsApp voice note with a voice note, and sends the same text in writing too. It works on WhatsApp only and never speaks to someone who typed. Fair use is 5,000 replies a month. It is a paid monthly add-on our team switches on for your office, outside both plans.

What is it?

Many customers in Saudi Arabia would rather send a voice note than type. Voice replies make Eva mirror the customer: a voice note gets a voice note back, and typed messages get text. Eva first turns the customer's speech into text and answers with the same logic she uses for every message, then turns her answer into speech in a voice you choose from a list prepared for Arabic.

Who is it for?

  • An office that receives plenty of voice notes from customers who dislike typing and wants them to feel someone is speaking with them.
  • An office serving buyers or tenants who drive or move between viewings and reply by voice.
  • An owner who wants Eva's voice to suit the office brand: Saudi or Gulf, female or male.
  • A manager who wants every figure Eva speaks to also appear in writing in the same exchange.

What problem does it solve?

  • A long typed answer to a voice note feels cold to someone who chose to speak.
  • Voice notes are heard, not read, so staff lose time listening before they know what the customer wants.
  • Arabic digits and symbols are often spoken wrongly by voice systems, which can mislead a customer about a price.
  • A voice reply with no text leaves the customer without a link or a written price to come back to.

How it works, step by step

  1. Ask the EvaCore team to switch on Voice replies for your office; the team enables it, it is not a toggle on your dashboard.
  2. Open Eva settings and the Eva's voice section, play the sample of each female and male voice, pick one and save. If you pick none, the Gulf-accent voice Lama is used.
  3. Your customer sends a voice note to your office's WhatsApp number.
  4. Eva turns the note into text; the text is saved in the conversation and the recording itself stays stored so you can listen to it.
  5. Eva writes her text answer as usual and runs it through her usual checks, then prepares it for speech: Arabic digits become Latin digits with the unit spelled out in words such as riyal and metre, and links and emoji are removed.
  6. Eva sends the voice note first, then the full written text, so links and prices stay in front of the customer in writing.
  7. If the customer's audio cannot be turned into text, Eva asks them to type the city, budget and property type, and the recording stays in the conversation for you to hear.
  8. Your staff follow the chat from the shared inbox and can step in at any time, which stops Eva replying.

What is included

  • Seven Arabic voices: four female and three male, most with a Saudi accent and one with a Gulf accent, with a sample to play before you choose.
  • A mirror rule: voice answers voice, text answers text.
  • The written text sent with every voice reply.
  • Text prepared for speech: numbers and units are read as words, and links and emoji are not read out.
  • The customer's voice note turned into text saved in the conversation, with the recording kept.

Limits and fair use

  • Voice replies work on WhatsApp only. Eva has no audio sending on Instagram or TikTok.
  • Eva speaks only to someone who sent a voice note. Someone who typed gets text.
  • Each reply is spoken up to about 900 characters; anything longer arrives in full as text and is not read aloud.
  • Fair use is 5,000 voice replies a month.
  • If the speech service is unavailable for a moment, the customer still gets the answer as text. A noisy or poor recording may not be understood, and then Eva asks the customer to type.
  • The voice does not change what Eva says. Your listings and prices remain her source, and your staff still own negotiation and closing.

Frequently asked questions

Does Eva send a voice note to someone who typed?
No, Eva answers with a voice note only when the customer sent one. Someone who types gets text as usual, which keeps the exchange natural and the usage bounded.
Which voice does Eva use if I choose none?
She uses Lama, a female voice with a Gulf accent. You can change it at any time under Eva settings, Eva's voice, after playing the samples.
Does Eva read out the price and the link?
She reads the price as words with its unit, so the amount is spoken in riyals as it should be, and she does not read the link aloud. The link arrives in the written text sent after the voice note.
What happens if Eva cannot understand my customer's voice note?
She asks the customer to type the city, budget and property type. The recording stays in the conversation so your staff can listen and continue if they want.
Do voice replies work on Instagram and TikTok?
No, they are WhatsApp only. On Instagram and TikTok Eva replies in text because audio sending is not available there.
How many voice replies can Eva send?
Fair use is 5,000 voice replies a month. Each reply is spoken up to about 900 characters and the rest arrives in writing.
